Chef Steve Phelps, formerly of Canvas Cafe and Bijou Cafe contracted me to create a unique branding concept for his restaurant Indigenous, leading up to their 2011 opening in the historic Towles-Court. Keeping with the restaurant’s theme of local, sustainable food, I asked the community of Sarasota to help create an “indigenous” logo — using elements from the wide variety of different marks visitors made at the tasting event, creating a Brand that’s truly native to Sarasota Florida. Using Indigenous concepts to develop the restaurants menu system, Signage & Web Design.
