Over the last few years I’ve had the pleasure of designing a variety of special events & merchandise for some of Sarasota’s BEST restaurants & pubs. Shamrock Pub one of the city’s oldest, located in downtown SRQ – The “Rock” as the locals call it! The “Rock” strives to create and produce local events utilizing local creatives, award-winning chefs and musicians – making their events one of a kind. Another great aspect of working with local establishments is that you get partner with other boutique shops that cater and produce limited or small-run merchandise. Clothesline has been producing most of my apparel designs in Sarasota for the last 4 years. If you want hand-quality over quantity seek these creatives out. Here’s a recent promo video featuring my latest design collaboration with Narragansett & Shamrock Pub for their annual St.Patricks day block party – screenprinted onto t-shirts by Clothesline. The design incorporated the likeness of Ego Leonard – an infamous figure created by 3d streetpainting artist Leon Keer that washed ashore in Sarasota as well as other locations around the world....

I’m a hug fan of painter William Wray, who crafted the amazing art for the infamous Ren & Stimpy cartoon. I was a late teen when his work caught my eye – the way he created a world for these two off-beat characters. His work has shifted recently into fine art, documenting pop culture icons form a very urban perspective. Check out this insightful documentary made by Loic Zimmermann’s about Wray’s process and methods for his newest...
In 2010 while living in Sarasota a slew of graffiti artists descended onto the city for an annual ChalkFest which gained global recognition. I would follow the works as they went up. One artist in particular set up shop and created several amazing pieces – a French artist living in Berlin named MTO. After the successful gathering and event, the city began to attack some of the imagery, one piece in particular. The local news was late to the topic and social media exploded with discussion. I snagged a camera and went to film a statement about the city and the piece in question – 1 mile from the world-renowned Ringling College of Art and Design where I also attended college. I felt it was important at the time. MTO also felt the impact of his work and crafted a documentary that is compelling and well worth a watch. You can see me at...

Once only believed to be a myth, the lost Egyptian City of Thonis, or Heracleion, was discovered by French archaelogist Franck Goddio in the year 2000. Ancient rumors surrounded this once-magnificent underwater city – apparently before the Trojan War, Helen of Troy was stranded there …. and it was named Heracleion beacause Hercules visited the city. Ancient historians including Herodotus, Diodorus, and Strabo also mentioned the place but until it was discovered scholars weren’t even sure if Heracleion and Thonis were the same city. It turns out that Thonis has been around since 12th century BC – and that all ships coming from the Greek world had to enter Egypt through its port. Located near Alexandria, Heracleion is about 11 km by 15 km and contains a bounty of ancient booty including over 60 buried ships, gold coins, large statues, Greek and Egyptian stone inscriptions, over 700 ship anchors, and small limestone sarcophagi believed to be for animals. Photos and video below, read more about Thonis/Heracleion here http://www.franckgoddio.org/projects/sunken-civilizations/heracleion.html...
