The WestField Corporation contracted me to create 6 unique Installations for the South Sarasota location. Each Installation aimed to connect with shoppers through different themes and messages. Using elements of history, illusion and popculture, our mission was to engage the Mall environment in new and interesting ways. I remained unknown and worked during the hours of 10pm – 5am, creating the sense of surprise each time a new Installation was completed. Darwin Santa Maria is the founder of Selva Grill, a Sarasota restaurant that gave him a stage to present to the public authentic Peruvian specialties. His latest restaurant is Darwin’s on 4th – a Peruvian Street Food and Brewery concept that opened its doors January 2012. Darwin contracted me in association with Michael Muscarella to create his brand identity. The project included identity, collateral, exterior, interior design + signage, chef & bar apparel along with bar and dinning room menus. We created a digital mural highlighting indigenous elements of Peru which anchors the main dinning hall. The restaurant continues to receive rave reviews for its food and beer selections but more importantly its ambiance and design. Titled HOMELAND. The Chef and Owner Darwin wanted something beautiful for his newly remodeled dinning room, something that spoke about his youth and experiences growing up in and around Peru’s jungle.
